Same Awesome Show, Brand New Name!

It was a beautiful day at the beach, a beautiful venue, and 260 competitors waiting to duke it out on the stage at the Chinook Winds Casino.  RK Smith Productions put together a great show even with some bumps in the road leading to the contest.  It is all about the athletes, and the Smiths proved that again this year.  So many come back every year, because of the show and the production.  It was great to see Viko Newman perform her fitness routine, it was entertaining and funny to have Victoria Adelus emcee this year's show (protein shake, anyone?).  And the athletes themselves, looked amazing!
IFBB Pro and Competition Coach at Team ABC, Victoria Adelus made a huge splash as emcee for the newly named Pacific Coast Championship.  She was funny, vivacious and brought a whole new edge to the show which was warmly welcomed.  The show never lost its clip, she was quite the pro, and even let us know that she wanted a Protein Shake backstage.  :)  In all seriousness, she brought a fresh new feeling to the show, along with the new name, make it an exciting new competition.  And with 260 competitors, it was still quite a big show!
During Physique Men's prejudging, a light bulb blew which startled everyone in the front.  The stage was emptied and Ron and crew took to task and cleaned it up.  He's not afraid to roll up his sleeves and work right along with the crew.
Part of Ron Smith's class, these guys were part of the stage crew.  They were also quite funny and dressed up for their roles which was quite fun.  The crew always has been loyal to RK Smith Productions, and for good reason.
Clinton Gorbett, Novice Men Physique 5th place winner, is a US Army Veteran.  He was seriously injured in the line of duty and wasn't expected to make a full recovery.  He, however, with the help of his personal trainer and coach, Jason Lobaugh,  he played a MASSIVE role in Clinton's transformation! Being unable to do the things that most people can do like running, jumping, etc.. due to his foot injuries, Jason helped him overcome and adapt during the last 4 months!! He is a professional trainer and there is no one out there that could have taken me to where he am today and where hewill be at the 7 feathers competition in October!  Ron Smith presented Clinton with a special award, recognizing Clinton for his service to his country and his amazing accomplishments preparing for this show.  We salute you, Clinton!
